The check to test whether the subscription workers were restarting after a change in the subscription was failing. The reason was that the test was assuming the walsender started before it reaches the 'streaming' state and the walsender was exiting due to an error before that. Now, the walsender was erroring out before reaching the 'streaming' state because it tries to acquire the slot before the previous walsender has exited. In passing, improve the die messages so that it is easier to investigate the failures in the future if any. Regression tests for subscription/logical replication
=====================================================
This directory contains a test suite for subscription/logical replication.
Running the tests
=================
NOTE: You must have given the --enable-tap-tests argument to configure.
Run
make check
or
make installcheck
You can use "make installcheck" if you previously did "make install"
(including installing the hstore extension). In that case, the code
in the installation tree is tested. With "make check", a temporary
installation tree is built from the current sources and then tested.
Either way, this test initializes, starts, and stops several test Postgres
clusters.
