The new "set maxconn frontend XXX" statement on the stats socket allows the admin to change a frontend's maxconn value. If some connections are queued, they will immediately be accepted up to the new limit. If the limit is lowered, new connections acceptation might be delayed. This can be used to temporarily reduce or increase the impact of a specific frontend's traffic on the whole process. |
